Aesop has arrived!!

This delicious iconic range which is home grown here in Melbourne has come to Peony. I love this brand and I know you will love it too.

I know many of you will be quite familiar with Aēsop, but just to give you a little background: Aēsop was launched in 1987 and has not wavered from its commitment to creating the best products utilising the highest quality plant-based ingredients. Aēsop's philosophy is to continue to make every product with the same attention to detail that we believe should be applied to life in general, taking into consideration the needs of your skin, the specifics of your environment and the constraints on your time.

Peony will showcase a small range of products which includes all my favourites: Resurrection hand wash (the best!!); Geranium Leaf body cleanser; Geranium Leaf Body Balm; Resurrection hand balm; Rind Concentrate body balm; Ginger flight therapy; Jet Set kit; Marrakech and Mystra Eau de Toilette and the best hair mask ever - Rose Hair and Scalp moisturising masque!!!! - a simply have to have product.

Their latest offering is the cute Resurrection rinse-free hand wash - perfect to have in your bag for when you need to wash those pinkies on the run.

Amouage - Library Collection

The Library Collection is a poetic homage to the art of living. Each fragrance is given a code, an Opus number, reflecting its status as a completed work within a greater collection. These fragrances defy categorisation, transcend gender and allow the wearer to create their own unique narrative.

Opus I is a glorious Chypre fragrance inspired by the start of a pilgrimage in search of knowledge. Opus II is a majestic Fougere inspired by the heady and evocative fragrance of old books, dark wooden shelves and antique leather armchairs. Opus III is an ode to the art and science creative process, from the darkest moments of frustration, to the enlightenment of discovery. Opus IV is an Oriental fragrance inspired by knowledge and empowerment of education as an instrument to diminish ignorance.

The Library Collection is truly amazing and is a must try the next time you visit the store.

I have chosen a couple of our gorgeous products to give to your Valentine this coming Monday.

Bella Bellissima has created the most divine Red Rose Candle with Guaiac Wood, perfect for your Valentine who loves red roses.

Miller Harris have just launched their beautiful Geranium Bourbon fragrance in a candle. A deliciously perfumed candle with Geranium and Rose.

Robert Piguet's Fracas - a huge white floral, centred around a big bouquet of tuberoses - the perfect romantic fragrance.

Bella Bellissima UK.

The luxury fragrance house of Bella Bellissima from the UK will make it's debut at Peony when we re open on Monday 31st January.

Bella Bellissima was created by Bella Crane, who handpicked a leading team of Swiss and British cosmetic scientists and the prestigious French aromatic products company of Robertet, to help create perfume perfection. The aim was to combine the finest, most exquisite ingredients in an innovative range delivering both real results and ultimate luxury. The range is presented in beautifully handblown glass decorated with pure platinum.

The range consists of 4 fragrances - 2 for women and 2 for men. I love this concept of having a day time fragrance and then layering with the night time fragrance over the top of your day perfume. The same principal applies to the mens fragrances.

The home fragrance collection is divine. There are 4 candles with matching room sprays, fragrances include: Sweet Fig and crushed Raspberry leaf; Red Roses and precious Guaiac Wood; Pure Gardenia, Jasmine and Peony and Black Cardamon, Cinnamon and Cedarwood. The presentation includes a little box of matches.

The fragrances are priced at $140 for the women's fragrance and $130 for the men's. The candles are $85 and the matching home and linen sprays are $60.

The Different Company is arriving soon

A sneak preview to let you know we will be launching the stunning fragrances from the Haute Parfumerie house 'The Different Company' on Monday 31st January, when we re-open.

The olfactory beauty of these perfumes are truly amazing - this company is all about luxury in fragrance, with their unique scents and exceptional packaging.

We will be launching all your favourites: Oriental Lounge, Rose Poivree, Sel et Vetiver - 11 fragrances in total.

Renovating

Remind me never to decide to tart up my shop all at once again!!! - I am exhausted......

I have finally finished packing everything into boxes and cleaned out the storage area - anyone who has seen 'my back room' will know what a monumental effort that took. So after 7 days of hard slog the removalists will arrive tomorrow to take away all the furniture. The shop looks very sad and empty. 'Peter the Painter' arrives for 2 days - I think he is being very ambitious as he has to paint the inside and outside of the store. The fabulous staff at Victorian Shutters and Shades are revamping my awning which I have designed so I am hoping it turns out well.

Then all going to plan the new carpet arrives next week - a very stylish black with a white pin stripe to match my black and white theme. I will have a few new pieces of furniture to play with and the shop counter is getting a makeover. Then the fun part starts again - unpacking!! and re-merchandising.

I know it will be worth it in the end!! - very exciting.

I only wish I was in Paris but Maldon in Central Victoria will have to do, for some very hard earned R & R after an amazing trading period in December.

Over the last few months I have been searching for new products and I am pleased to say that there will be some fabulous new brands to launch in the newly refurbished Peony at the end of January. So watch this space.

Heeley Parfums Paris

This amazing perfume range has just arrived in time for Christmas. One of my personal favourites, the Heeley range of perfumes are simply divine. I met with James Heeley at the Pitti Imagine fragrance fair in Florence and was immediately impressed with his passion for perfume.

Heeley Eau de Parfum, is characteristically elegant and natural. Made in France from a selection of rare ingredients of the finest quality, it is a contemporary version of the traditional Eau de Parfum.

The unique and distinctive scents within the collection are characterised by fresh, green, woody or light floral tones. Suitable for both men and women, the choice of scent is best left to the individual.

The fragrance range includes all our favourites: Ophelia, Cardinal, Cuir Pleine Fleur, Esprit du Tigre, Figuier, Iris de Nuit, Menthe Fraiche, Verveine and the latest offering Orange and Lemons say the bells of St Clements!!

Amouage Memoir

We received the latest instalment from Amouage today - the most delicious Chypre (Mossy Wood) fragrance for men and women - Memoir. It is described as a shadowy, mystical Chypre that takes the Absinth top notes of Memoir Man and infuses them with the spices of Pink Pepper and Cardamon. The heart notes artfully clash Dark Wood and Frankincense with White Blossoms, Jasmine and Rose. Whilst Labdanum, Leather, Musk and Oakmoss in the base provide a smoky, uncompromising conclusion to the fragrance.

I truly love this fragrance range - they understand luxury and the beautiful black bottle is stunning.
