New Astier de Villatte delivery

I love Astier de Villatte. When I was recently in Paris I attended the Maison Objet trade fair and as you do got carried away buying all the wonderful ceramics.
We took delivery of 5 new fragranced candles to take our collection to 21. These candles are amazing.
The new vases are just gorgeous. I had my heart in my mouth unpacking everything, but thankfully all arrived in perfect condition.
I still have some of Noel's wonderful paper flowers (Fanciful Designs) on display. I think they are a perfect accompaniment to ADV.
This is the Astier de Villatte display in it's entirety. I think it looks pretty good!

Happy Easter everyone!

I love Easter and I adore Autumn, it is my favourite season. This is the time of year we have a really good excuse for eating more chocolate than we should and I swear I turn into a hot cross bun - Phillipa's Hot Cross buns are the best!! I only wish I could have a box full of Pierre Herme macarons and their fabulous raspberry and violet jam and I would be a very happy girl!!

Just to let all my Astier de Villatte fans know we are expecting a huge shipment (200kgs+) of new fragranced candles and lots of ceramics. I couldn't resist all the jugs and new items on display at the Maison Objet fair in January so I don't know where I will put it all but I am sure I will manage.
So just in case you would like to give something fragrant instead of chocolate, we have an equally decadent array of divine candles, body creams and perfumes as a low calorie substitute!

Happy Easter everyone and I hope the Easter Bunny makes a visit!

Lubin perfumed candles

On my recent trip to Paris I visited one of my favourite perfume houses 'Lubin'. They are in their new store located at 21 rue des Cannette, 75006 Paris. Upon walking into the store my eyes were immediately drawn to the display of candles. The candles were exclusive to the boutique in Paris.
Needless to say I pursuaded the owner of Lubin, Gilles Thevenin to let me have them for the store. They have just arrived and are beautiful. I adore the monogram on the front of the glass.

12 divine fragrances - amber, oud, tea rose, muguet, Baies, Jasmine...... I just love them!!

Price at $99 each with a 60 hour burn time they are certainly worth your consideration if you love perfumed candles, they are exquisite.

Brécourt Paris

I secured this brand on my recent trip to Paris and I am delighted to say it is gorgeous. The perfumeur and owner of Brecourt is Emilie Bouge who has a history as a perfumeur for other companies and her family has a past in the perfume industry. Ms Bouge's grand parents had a perfume business in Grasse.
There are 11 fragrances in the collection; 4 masculine scents and 7 feminine. My favourite is Eau Blanche which was inspired by childhood memories on the Amalfi coast. A delicious melange of Lemon, Freesia, Osmanthus, Jasmine, Ginger, Green Tea, Cedarwood and Musk.
The packaging is very chic - black glass bottle with the fabric label - priced at $115 for a 50ml Eau de Parfum - it is worth exploring on your next visit to Peony.

If you would like to secure a sample set of the 11 fragrances - if you 'LIKE' our facebook page before Friday 23rd March - we have 3 sets to give away.

Launch of our E Commerce Site

Sorry I have been a little quiet lately - very rude of me!!!

Had the most amazing trip to Paris and have come home with a head full of ideas and inspiration. Not least of which was spending the last 3 weeks buried in my computer. I have updated the website and included the obligatory shopping bag, so now we are credit card friendly. It's like I have another store that never closes!!

So as much as we love our customers to come into the store, if it's not convenient you can shop at Peony from anywhere! - well within Australia anyway.

See our 'online shoppe' here!! hope you like it.....

Paris

My first day in Paris covered a few favourite destinations. Firstly a visit to one of my favourite fragrance boutiques Frederic Malle on rue du Mont Thabor. Then for a spot of lunch at l'Imperial. After recharging the batteries we headed to Chanel on rue Cambon and then to Goyard where I purchased a 'shopper' and matching scarf - truly gorgeous. Always good to be swinging down rue Saint Honore with a few shopping bags in tow!!

Chanel was busy as every store in Paris is currently on Sale. As much as I love a bargain nothing inspired me at Chanel. I prefer to shop when the stores are not on Sale.

These images are of Frederic Malle's store - I bought the newly released book on Perfume Making, one of the new room sprays and of course some perfume - En Passant.

Last but not least the wonderful view from our apartment - you could sit and look out the windows all day.

J'Adore Paris!!
